Oklahoma State head football coach Mike Gundy has been doing his thing in Stillwater for awhile now. Long enough in fact that we can look back during the last decade and admire quite a bit of work.During the past 10 years https://www.whoutletstore.com/Makell_Esteen_Jersey-74, Gundy and OSU have racked up a 93-36 record, with one game still to go. It's by far the most impressive decade in OSU football history. But, as we know, not all wins are created equal. So in honor of the decade coming to an end, let's look back at the 10 best wins out of those 93. No. 10 - 2017 Iowa StateOSU 49 - ISU 42During the last few years, the Cowboys and Cyclones have had a few close, back-and-forth games, with OSU coming out the victor for more often than not. For three years in a row, the Cyclones had a lead in the fourth quarter of their games against OSU. All three years in a row, the Cowboys walked away victorious.None though, were as sweet as the final of that three-year run, when Mason Rudolph threw touchdown passes on back-to-back drives to give OSU the 49-42 victory. The game wasn't sealed until the "controversial" interception with 0:32 left.Iowa State fans STILL get pissed about that one. I revel in it.No. 9 - 2016 West VirginiaOSU 37 - WVU 20The Mountaineers entered the game undefeated and ranked No. 10 in the country. They left Stillwater with their first loss of the season. No this wasn't a great WVU team, but considering the start the Cowboys had to the season5-2 with losses to Central Michigan and Baylorit's not like this was a guaranteed "W" entering the day.But after the Mountaineers took a 10-6 lead early in the second, the Cowboys never really looked back. A touchdown pass from Rudolph to Chris Lacy put the Cowboys up 13-10 at the 8:26 mark in the second quarter and OSU never trailed again.More than the win, this was Gundy's 100th victory as the head coach of Oklahoma State.Knocking off an undefeated team, at home, on Homecoming weekend, to earn your 100th victory as the head coach at your alma mater? Seems like a pretty big victory to me.No. 8 - 2018 West VirginiaOSU 45 - WVU 41Speaking of big wins over WVU. Arguably Dana Holgerson's best WVU team built up a 31-14 halftime lead. That wasn't going to be enough.OSU outscored the No. 9 Mountaineers 31-10 in the second half https://www.whoutletstore.com/Taj_Davis_Jersey-142, including putting up 21 fourth-quarter points.Understand how ridiculous this outcome was; with 2:55 left in the game, ESPN game WVU an 85 percent chance to win. Or maybe it just shows how ridiculous it is to put win-outcome percentages throughout a game.Seriously, that 2018 team was just so weird. Its lows were some of the worst of the Gundy era. But its high points were fantastic. There is no reason OSU should have beaten a ranked team in 2018. Yet, they did. Multiple times.No. 7 - 2015 TCUOSU 49 - TCU 29The 8th-ranked Horned Frogs, coming off an historic 2014, had high hopes for a repeat season. Those dreams really died in Stillwater. OSU took a 7-0 lead on a deep Rudolph to Washington pass in the first quarter, and never looked back. The Cowboys never trailed in the game. While it looks like a dominate performance, OSU was actually out-gained 663-456 and had only 81 yards on the ground. OSU won thanks to the defense forcing four turnovers Any win this dominate over a team as good as that TCU one, gets to end up on this list.No. 6 - 2015 Cactus BowlOSU 30 - Washington 22After winning Bedlam they may have saved Gundy's job Gage Harty Jersey, OSU emptied their bag of tricks against a Washington team whose defense was loaded with NFL guys. This game also gave us one of the greatest OSU plays and highlights of the Gundy era; the James Castleman run.The 6-foot-2, 300-pound defensive tackle had never touched the ball on offense, yet got one 48-yard catch and a one-yard run.Yes, those were paint chips that flew off of his helmet.Considering how rough the 2014 season was, to finish it off with a win in Bedlam and a bowl win over a favored 8-5 Washington team, was one of the best endings to an OSU season ever.

Yes, this is a working title. Since it is summer and we are all out of ideas and flowcharts, we figured it was time to dust off an old blog staple and one of our favorite features from the football season... let's sidle up to the roundtable.A wide open one to start. Will the loss of Dana have a negativeimpact on the offense, or is the system the system and Monken will beable to manage what is already in place? Last week LeBryan Nash tweeted: "Dam just think about something next year around this time they could b sayin my name 4 the nba draft but I got put n the work".Do you think he has the talentdriveheart to be a one-and-done type ofplayer and be drafted next year? If so, will he be similar to Carmeloand Durant and have a special season that will be remembered forever, orwill he be more of a Josh Selby who shows a lot of promise that goesunrealized at the collegiate level?Which general geographic part of the country is Stillwater in? Forexample: Alabama is definitely in the South, Iowa is definitely in theMidWest, Colorado is in the Mountains, UConn is in the Northeast, andall of those places feel like the epitome of their areas. Well a lot ofcities aren't smack dab in the middle of a specific area and fall intotweener areas where they dont exactly fit into these made up regions wehave designated. I have seen Stillwater referred to as being in thesouth, the midwest, the southwest, the southern plains, andsouth-central. We need to clear this up ASAP.Royal John1) I don't think losing Dana will affect the offense this season. With Weeden being the field general and having a great understanding of the offense, I expect it to keep humming. Now, we may drop a few spots in the national offensive rankings but I think that will have more to do with the fact that Monken will control the clock a bit more than Dana. Next year, though, I think can be a different story. In my opinion, 2012 will be the first year we will all be able to see what kind of playcaller Monken can really be.2) I think it depends on his tweet; how much work is he going to put in? Nash is still an enigma to me. I've seen him absolutely dominate at times and at other times I've seen him give subpar effort and quite frankly, look like he is throwing a temper tantrum when he doesn't get his touches. In my opinion, whether he is ready or not, he'll probably leave for the NBA...that is unless the CBA rewrites the eligibility rules during the lockout.3) The midwestsouth plains. And I kind of mean that seriously. I've seen so many different cultures combined in Stillwater that I can't really put one label on it. Go to one bar and you're line dancing. Go to another and you're discussing the affect of The Smiths on today's hipster bands...either way, you're probably drinking PBR or Keystone Light.Sam1) The thing that stands out to me is that everywhere Dana has been he has produced a top 5 offense. We have been used to having potent offenses so the explosion we saw last season wasn't as shocking as it should have been Jalon Ferrell Jersey, but the numbers were staggering. #3 scoring, #3 total yards, #2 passing yards, even #36 in rushing yards, and on and on.I don't think we approach those numbers this season, and I don't think Weeden or Blackmon match their totals from last season.I believe Dana was the impedes of the offensive explosion of 2010, and that Weeden and Blackmon would not have been the breakout stars they were without him.In addition, I think having an "offensive savant" on your sideline gives your team a huge edge in the mindgame matchup that happens between the coaching staffs. Defensive Coordinators did not know what to plan for all week, and during games were unsure of what adjustments to make because they respected Dana so much. I'm not sure Monken will command that respect.I am expecting a decent dropoff in offensive production this season, and some initial frustration at watching the offense struggle compared to last season, somewhat reminiscent of the UGA and Houston games from 2009 where you could tell right away that the offense had taken a step back from 2008. I'm not saying we will be worse as a team, we may be better overall as the defense will get some rest, but I don't believe the offense will be the reliable juggernaut it was for most of last season.I think that in 2011 if OSU is down 2+ scores in the 2nd half, the game is probably over, where in 2010 that was just the beginning https://www.uhoutletstore.com/Alfred_Chea_Jersey-60. 2) I think Nash will be great in his first year. His tool set is too extensive.Highlight reels are highlight reels, and I could put one together that would make Pilgrim look like a lottery pick, but in all the footage of Nash his remarkable skill shines through.Moves like a guard, jumps through the roof, has unreal handles, is big and tall, has a nice jumper, and can finish at the rim.The issue, as always, could be his head. I have heard that he takes big chunks of time off, that he has too big of an ego, and plenty of other headcase type issues about him.Not knowing any of this for sure I can't make that educated of a judgement on this aspect, but I can say that a lot of the game he has was learned through hard work.A player doesn't naturally have a stepback jumper like Nash's, isn't able to pass like he can, and doesn't have some decent post moves unless they work on it... a lot.For this reason, and this reason alone, I am going to say that he averages like a 17-7-3, is on sportscenter plenty of times, and leaves after one season to be a top 15 pick.3)There are really only 6 main parts of the country: West Coast, The Rockies, The Midwest, The South, The Northeast, and East Coast. We obviously don't fit well into any of these, but we have to be either Midwest or South. And if it is between those 2, I would say that the people of Stillwater are more similar to the people of Georgia or Alabama Jahkai Gill Jersey, than to the people of Michigan or Iowa.So to stick to the 6 main regions, I guess we are in the South. If we can create a 7th major region, I am for OK being in the "Southern Plains" with TX and KS.Royal JohnSam, I will agree with your point on #1 for next season...but not this season. If you want to compare seasons for the last time we switched coordinators, you have to go from 2007 to 2008 instead of using 2009. With that said, look at the numbers of 2008 compared to 2007. In 2007 OSU was ranked 7th in the nation in total offense. In 2008, they were ranked 6th. When you have the majority of your playmakers and the same QB back at the helm, I think the offense remains very powerful. Like I said, we may not have the matching gaudy numbers as last year, but I think that will have more to do with Monken slowing down when necessary as opposed to playing the "hurry up" regardless of the game situation. In 2012, though, I can totally get behind your point. I think losing Dana will hurt our numbers slighty but will make us a better offense and much better football team. I know it's fun having a mad genius and all that air raid crap, but we were totally unable to keep the defense on the sidelines for any sort of rest. We were unable to execute long scoring drives, we either hit a home run or punted. I don't think that type of offense will take you very far if that's all you rely on. OU runs a fast paced offense, but it's diverse. I'd rather put pressure on the opposing d by being at the line quickly than using a spread. Hell, we fumbled from under center, and if Weeden can't take a snap from under center well he'll never make it in the NFL. I also thinkMonken will help us recruit, he can say "hey, Dana Holgerson can teach you to play blackjack, i can get you to the NFL,I know what they want I've been there". As far as the casinos, I have it on good authority that the president of the hard rock cried after he found out Dana was leaving, considering it cost him 13% of their revenue last year. That's not funny, im sorry.2) I'm worried about next season, we know Nash wants to be a one and done-er, and unless we win a big 12 and make a final four it's not worth it. Sure, we may get to witness a special player, but after he leaves then what? We're right the fuck back where we are now, a young team with no leadership and little experience. I'm also about to get worried about our APR numbers, since Ford seems destined to turn the roster over every year.3) If Alabama is the south there is no way we are as well Terrence Ganyi Jersey, I'd say we're in the west.SamReally though Royal, I see you point regarding #1.I think there are 2 ways to look at the offense from last season.1. We undervalued everyone at every position. The O-line, Weeden, Blackmon, and the other WR's all exceeded preseason expectations, so the expectations must have been way off.OR2. Dana was the catalyst for the explosion.Odds are the answer was somewhere in the middle, but given Dana's reputation for creating top 5 offenses, I think he had a lot more to do with it that we want to believe.I hope I am wrong though. Still, Fuck You.

Cowboy alum are sprinkled across the NFL this preseason, some entrenched as starters, others scratching and clawing to make a team. Here's a quick recap of were they are and where they could be come the first week of the NFL season in September.Justin Gilbert - (CB) Cleveland Browns - Reports are very, ugh, not good, for Gilbert this preseason. In a joint practice with the Buffalo Bills, Gilbert was reportedly "scorched" three times by an undrafted wide receiver. In that same report by the Akron Beacon Journal, Gilbert was reported as giving up a catch every time his receiver was targeted. As if that wasn't bad enough the reporter stated he had "never seen such a rough day". I mean... this is just bad folks. In my opinion, Gilbert has all the tools to be a high end NFL cover corner. Speed, strength, athletic ability. He even has one of the best corners in the game in Cleveland to help mentor him, Joe Haden. His head coach, Mike Pettine, helped bring along THE best corner in the NFL, Darrell Revis.Gilbert desperately needs a good break. He needs to get his confidence back and start playing with the swagger we all saw his senior year. All the Cleveland Brown jokes aside, he needs to get this thing in gear or he will be playing for the Oklahoma State South... err I mean Dallas Cowboys soonLate Update: Gilbert went down with a hurt hip flexor in the joint practice with the Bills. From bad to worse https://www.tvfanprostore.com/Eunique_Valentine_Jersey-72. September Forecast - Very Cloudy, will likely start on the bench unless something drastically changes. Gilbert needs a strong finish to camp and preseason to re-establish some faith from the coaching staff.Tyler Patmon - Dallas Cowboys - So, you may have missed it, but, Tyler Patmon threw down with Dez Bryant early in training camp...The two quickly made up after Dez went full "hold me back" mode on the Dallas sideline for a few minutes. Outside of the "fight" reports are that Patmon is building off of his impressive 2014 season. His ability to play both inside and outside gives him a very good chance to see a lot of playing time this season. It's pretty wild to think that Patmon, and undrafted guy, is out-performing Gilbert, a first round pick. This just shows what most know, the NFL Draft is a crap-shoot.Fighting Update: Dallas and St. Louis held the ever popular joint practice this week and today fights broke out. Patmon was seen taking on three Rams by himself, until, drum roll please... Dez Bryant came to back him up.September Forecast - Bright and shiny, Patmon has the world at his fingertips going into this season. His ceiling is an every down player with the possibility of a Pro-Bowl appearance. At the very least, he's the starting nickel corner for the Dallas Cowboys to start the season https://www.tvfanprostore.com/Jack_Jancek_Jersey-73. Perrish Cox - Tennessee Titans - Perrish enjoyed a nice season in San Francisco last year and was awarded with a 3 year 15 million dollar contract by the Tennessee Titans. He's rebounded from a shaky start to his NFL career and is slated to start for the Titans this season. Cox, if you remember was suspended for his last game his senior year and kinda ended things with Oklahoma State on a little bit of a sour note. If you want to catch up with what seems to be a much more mature Cox read this great article from John Glennon at the Tennessean.September Forecast - Partly Cloudy, but only because he's playing for the Titans who are picked to finish around dead last in the NFL this season as they try to rebuild around Oregon's Marcus Mariota at quarterback. Cox will start and should see plenty of action as Mariota and the offense will struggle to stay on the field.Kendall Hunter - San Francisco 49ers - Hunter tore his ACL last July but looks like he's recovered and ready to roll. He didn't suit up for the 49ers first preseason game but should do so for the upcoming exhibition versus Dallas. He does find himself in a bit of a log-jam situation in the 49ers backfield. Carlos Hyde looks like the starter with the newly signed Reggie Bush primed to take over the 3rd down role. Hunter will have to out work Mike Davis and Jarryd Hayne to make the roster. As long as he shows he's recovered from the ACL surgery he should be able to do that. Hunter has shown he's capable of being productive at the NFL level which should aid him during this camp battle.Maybe they should watch this highlight to remind themselves just what they have in Hunter...September Forecast - Cloudy. The guys over at Niners Nation have him projected to miss the roster going into week two of the preseason. I think he ultimately makes the roster and will be a serviceable backup for the 49ers this season. If he get's cut look for him to get a look somewhere else.Quick Hits!Brandon Weeden - Dallas Cowboys - Weeden is entrenched as the number two quarterback behind Tony Romo in Dallas Len'Neth Whitehead Jersey. He reportedly had a great offseason and is one Romo injury away from being the starting quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. In the first preseason game he completed five passes for 42 yards in limited action.Joseph Randle - Dallas Cowboys - Randle is in a training camp battle with Darren McFadden, Lance Dunbar and newcomer Gus Johnson for the lead back role in Dallas. Even if he wins the job this will likely be a running back by committee situation going into the season. You won't see a year like Demarco Murray had last year from a single guy this season. Randle was held out from the first preseason game after suffering a oblique strain but should be a go for this weeks showdown with the 49ers. Randle needs a good preseason to show he can be depended on as the leader of the RBBC.Dez Bryant - Dallas Cowboys - Pro Bowl.Russell Okung - Seattle Seahawks - Okung continues to be an anchor on the left side of the line for the Seahawks. Seattle just re-signed quarterback Russell Wilson and should be interested in keeping him protected, which means Okung could have a long career in Seattle.Lane Taylor - Green Bay Packers - Taylor is in a battle for a roster spot in Green Bay. As of now the Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel has him projected to miss the cut. If that happens, I believe he will find a home somewhere in the NFL this season.Josh Furman - Denver Broncos - Furman had two tackles and a sack in the Broncos first preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks. At the very least he will be on the scout team for the Broncos this year. If he keeps contributing and makes himself a factor on special teams he should find himself on the 53-man roster.

It's high noon... Matt Holliday works with Rockies third baseman:Oklahoma State volunteer assistant coach Matt Holliday took some time this offseason to work with his former Colorado teammate, Nolan Arenado. Arenado talked about home Holliday has meant to him in his career. "Matt has had a huge influence on me and my career," Arenado said Monday, a day before Rockies pitchers and catchers report to Salt River Fields here and officially open spring training. "Besides my mom and dad, who are my biggest influences, Matt's like a father figure to me. It's about how he handles his business, his family and his job."In mid-January, Arenado worked out for a week with Holliday, who is a volunteer assistant for the Oklahoma State baseball program where his brother, Josh, is the head coach. The two took batting practice together, and Holliday helped Arenado go through rigorous fielding drills at third base Walker Thompson Jersey. Denver PostHow cool is that OSU has Matt on their staff? MLB guys are looking to him for advice. Mike Boynton's relationship with Thomas Dziagwa: OSU men's basketball senior Thomas Dziagwa and head coach Mike Boynton have developed a relationship off the court over common interest, Books. The Tulsa World writes about that. "We had a relationship prior to that but it was more about him as a player Isaiah Woullard Jersey," Boynton said. "Not that it meant that I didn't care about him as a person, but we spent so much time with basketball. Then when you become a head coach, you have a more overarching view of everything and how they do. I got a chance to spend some time with him over the summer between his freshman and sophomore year, and we just got connected on some books. He brought some and I brought some and it went from there." Times for the Saturday and Sunday games, as well as Monday's if-necessary game, will be announced at a later time. They won behind a great game from pitcher Carrie Eberle. OSU turned to ace Carrie Eberle in the circle, who pitched her 19th complete game of the season. Eberle recorded her seventh shutout of the season, allowing just four hits on the day and striking out three Longhorns. The final game of the best-of-three Super Regional was a true pitcher's duel. The only runs of the game were scored by the Cowgirls in the fifth inning, when OSU put up a two-spot that would stand as the final score. okstate.com Coach Boynton has important conversations: The history of the Tulsa Massacre is one that does not get told very often Eli Russ Jersey. With Oklahoma State's 2019 class mostly complete, the coaching staff is putting a lot of energy into the 2020 class. Let's take a look at the latest news regarding the next class of potential Cowboys.Cowboys Offer 4-star ReceiverOklahoma State will lose at least one starting wide receiver after the 2019 season in Tyron Johnson, so adding a talented prospect to fill his place will be high on the Cowboys list for 2020 Sam Staruch Jersey. They hope that might be Marvin Mims Jr.Mims is a 6-foot-1, 165-lb prospect out of Saint Louis, Missouri. He wrapped up a junior season for Lone Star High that saw him grab 59 balls for 1,158 yards and 14 touchdowns.Oklahoma State is just the latest school to offer the 4-star receiver, bringing the total to 21 schools. The list includes Oklahoma State, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Texas AM, TCU, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, and Washington State, among others. It's a list I expect will continue to grow.Mims is OSU's third receiver offer for 2020, and it's easy to see why after watching his highlights.OSU Makes Top-10 for 2020 Running BackWhile Oklahoma State is still working to line-up a talented running back Reece Atteberry Jersey, they got some good news in their efforts to land a back for 2020; 4-star athlete Teriyon Cooper named the Cowboys to his top-10.Joining the Cowboys are Nebraska, LSU, Texas, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Alabama https://www.mwoutletshop.com/Chase_Winovich_Jersey-171, Missouri, and Illinois. As of now, 247Sports experts have the Longhorns as the favorites to land the Saint Louis area prospect.Cooper is listed as an athlete and running back, but is being recruited to play slot receiver. In his junior season with Trinity Catholic, Cooper accounted for261 yards and three touchdowns on the ground and 834 yards and nine touchdowns on 28 receptions. He also racked up 217 punt return yards and two touchdowns on seven returns.

Site manager Micah Allen chatter with Gerald Goodridge of Burnt Orange Nation ahead of Saturday's game Sam Edwards Jersey. CRFF: Xavier Worthy had a bit of a coming-out party against Oklahoma. What do you think led to him having such a stellar game and do you expect his momentum to continue? Xavier Worthy is honestly the prototype receiver for the Sarkisian offense with incredible top-end speed, runs incredible routes and the ability to high-point the ball. Steve Sarkisian has made a concerted effort to involve him in the offense early and often, which was on display against Oklahoma. A lot of his production came on two big chunk plays, a 75-yard TD pass on the opening play where he broke one tackle and then was just faster than everyone else on the field, followed a 31-yard reception where he ran a tight route and beat the defender for the ball. CRFF:This is going to be a game of stopping running backs. Oklahoma State is going to have to figure out how to stop Bijan Robinson, while the Texas defense is going to have to find an answer for Jaylen Warren Felton Davis III Jersey. Which defense do you expect to do a better job stopping the run and why? OU on how many rushing yards the teams have combined. This is a tough question because the Texas defense has given me zero confidence that they can stop the run consistently, but the Oklahoma State defense hasn't played a running back of Bijan Robinson's caliber yet. The Oklahoma State defense has the ability to get some stops and create some havoc in the backfield, which could be a problem, but against OU, 126 of Robinson's 137 yards came after contact, so he is used to dealing with havoc. Based on the evidence presented, I think the Oklahoma State defense is likely to have a better outing stopping the run. With the running ability of both quarterbacks, I wouldn't be shocked to see 375 yards on Saturday.CRFF: Do you think Texas will come out swinging after a heartbreaker? Or do you think they'll be a bit of a hangover Saturday morning? At the start of the season, Steve Sarkisian has said his biggest job is to get this team to hate losing more than they love to win. Based on everything I have heard, the team is angry that they let the OU game slip in such an embarrassing way and want to take another shot at them. I wouldn't be shocked to see them come out with their hair on fire on Saturday. CRFF: Who do you think is gonna be the player of the game for Texas? I think Xavier Worthy is set for another big game. The best winning proposition for Texas is to turn this game into a shootout, so expect them to come out and try to get Worthy in more open-field opportunities to show off his speed Eli McLean Jersey. CRFF: Alright so you're an Oklahoma State fan coming to Austin? What spots are you hitting up?There are a ton of great options. Matt's El Rancho is good TexMex. Franklin BBQ is one of those spots where everyone considers it a "must-go" so I honestly try to avoid it because I am impatient. Black's is also incredible BBQ. JewBoy Burgers is a relatively new spot with incredible burgers. For breakfast - or late night after the bars - pancakes at Kerby Lane is always a great choice. Also, if you're into Latin food, the arepas at Four Brothers are INCREDIBLE. CRFF: Score prediction? I think it's going to be relatively tight, but as a Texas fan I have to go 35-31 in favor of the Longhorns.
